Celebration of Urwego Opportunity Bank’s First Year Anniversary and Official Launch of New Products: Individual Loans and Bicycle Loans

Urwego Opportunity Bank will be celebrating its first year anniversary in July 2008, after its establishment on June 30, 2007. UOB will celebrate this event by introducing its new products, the individual loans and bicycle loans. Both these products are tailored to UOB’s clients growing needs and improving Rwanda’s business growth. The individual loan, which is already in operation since March 2008, is aimed at facilitating individuals who have considerable forms of collateral and want to start, grow or re-strategize their businesses by acquiring more capital. We believe that this product will be a catalyst to the growth of Rwanda’s middle class entrepreneurship.

The bicycle loan on the other hand, is a product aimed at facilitating UOB’s existing group clients who live in rural areas where the bicycle is the most available and affordable means of transportation of people and goods.

Urwego Opportunity Bank launches ‘Ubusabane’ (get together with clients)

At UOB we are constantly looking for ways of improving our customer care service.Ubusabane, is a Rwandan traditional event where local people organize a ‘get together ceremony’ to share food, drinks and dances. UOB will be using this kind of ceremony to improve its customer care through sharing food, drinks and achievements attained by both the clients and the bank. This event will commence with Kigali city in July 2008. UOB will organize Ubusabane in all of the other provinces in the last half of 2008.
