Group Savings
Group loan clients may save small amounts of money each time they make a loan payment, thereby increasing their personal capital. Group Savings allows our clients to borrow more as well as use the saved money as seed capital once a loan is paid off.
Teganya Savings Account
The “Teganya” Savings Account (“plan ahead” in Kinyarwanda) is the primary product offered to attract the micro-savers. The objective of this account is to make it easy for the under-banked to open a bank account without having to go through difficult or intimidating account-opening procedures.
Tuza Account
The Tuza Account is a savings deposit for fixed terms ranging from two months to one year. It earns a higher interest rate than a savings account.
Ikaze Account
The Ikaze Account is a transactional savings account that gives the client an unlimited number of deposits and withdrawals.
Children’s Savings Account (CSA)
This product is an ideal way for parents to save money for their children. The account will be opened under the child’s name but will be operated by a parent or guardian until the child reaches the legal age. The interest rate is 8% per annum, and it will be capitalized every month but paid at the end of the quarter. The client will benefit from one free withdraw per term and an unlimited number of deposits.
